In addition to the individual units that are a part of the Office of the DCIO – ITSD, there are several independent functions within ITSD. These include:
Working closely with Institute Communications, this function provides internal and external communications for the Office of Information Technology, including the annual OIT Year in Review, project related communications, website content management and facilitation, OIT branding, and marketing and presentation support.
OIT Human Resource Support Services
This function works internally with OIT managers and staff and is our liaison with the Office of Human Resources regarding all matters related to HR, including transactional system records, employee and manager direction and facilitation with OHR, personnel management support for hiring, termination and reclassification and guidance and reference to both Georgia Tech and Board of Regents HR policies.
IT Service Management
This function provides internal leadership and support in the implementation of an IT service management practice throughout the Office of Information Technology organization. This includes gathering business and IT service requirements, facilitating education of/and implementing service management best practices, implementing and documenting processes and workflow, developing and monitoring service metrics, developing an overall service management roadmap, analyzing opportunities for continuous improvement by working closely with process and service owners to mature overall service delivery capability.
