Mobile Lectern Tutorial
Starting the System
- Using the wall panel, press the On button to turn on the system and the Down button to lower the projection screen
- Wait 30 seconds before pressing any other buttons (projector will count down as it warms up)
- Please remember to turn off the system when you are done by pressing Off on the wall panel
To use the lectern computer
- Using the wall panel, press the Computer 1 button located under the projector sources section
- Press button 1 on the Extron panel located on the front of the podium
- Remember to log off the computer and turn off the system when you leave
To use the lectern VCR
- Using the wall panel, press the VCR button located under the projector sources section
- Remember to turn off the system when you leave
To use a laptop
- Connect your laptop to the laptop cable that is sitting on the top of the lectern. This cable has a trapezoid VGA connector with 15 pins
- Connect the audio connector of this cable, if available, to the audio output or headphone jack on your laptop
- Using the wall panel, press the Computer 1 button located under the projector sources section
- Press button 2 on the Extron plate located on the front of the podium to display the laptop source on the projector
- Internet access is available via the Ethernet port above the keyboard
- If you have problems, make sure the VGA output of the laptop is enabled, or contact OIT as shown below
- Remember to turn off the system when you leave
To use your own S-video device
- If you have any equipment that uses an S-video output (i.e. Laserdisc) you can use it here. You must bring your own cables
- Using the wall panel, press the S-Video button located under the projector sources section
- Remember to turn off the system when you leave
To use your own composite-video device
- If you have any equipment that uses a composite-video output (i.e. Laserdisc) you can use it here. You must bring your own cables
- Using the wall panel, press the Video button located under the projector sources section
- Remember to turn off the system when you leave
Adjustments
- The volume can be adjusted via the wall panel, using the Up or Down buttons located under the Volume section
- Pressing the Preset button will automatically set the volume to a comfortable average level
- The Mute button will completely silence the system, or it will allow sound again if the system is already muted

- Media Support: DVD (via PC), VCR, ZIP, USB, headphones
- Two USB ports and a headphone jack: on front of the computer (under flip panel)
- USB port: on front of the lectern above the keyboard
- S-Video and composite inputs: on floor wall plate
- Laptop Support: VGA, audio, ethernet, USB
- Laptop cable: attached to the front of the lectern
- Ethernet and USB ports: on front of the lectern above the keyboard
