My GaTech has been upgraded to Zimbra 7.1.3!

OIT is excited to announce that My GaTech has been upgraded to the latest Zimbra version on October 15, 2011.   A partial list of features appears at the end of this message. This upgrade brings significant improvements in creation of appointments and use of mailing lists for scheduling as well as many other great new features. Briefcase and Documents functionality will also be combined into one convenient place, i.e. your My GaTech Briefcase will soon contain all of your My GaTech Documents too. The new Briefcase gives My GaTech users a central place via their email account to store files and documents, and embed images and other rich web content into Briefcase pages, which can then be emailed & shared to other Georgia Tech users as well as external users for either viewing or collaboration.  A complete list of new features can be found at http://www.zimbra.com/docs/whats-new/7.0/ 

Users of the My GaTech web client need not take any action to take full advantage of the new features. However, Outlook users will need to download the latest version of the Zimbra Connector for Outlook (ZCO 7.1.3) in order to take advantage of the new features.  As usual, the latest version of ZCO is available on the OIT Software Distribution site (http://software.oit.gatech.edu/).

- Able to Expand Distribution Lists into its member components

- Streamlined New Appointment screens 
- Tabbed compose windows for Calendar and Tasks 
- Scheduling Wizard for new appointments 
- Set and Display Working Hours on calendar 
- New Meeting Invite Features 
- Create a copy of an event 
- Draft new appointments 
- Email and SMS Calendar reminders 

Other New Features:
- New find shares tool 
- Improved auto-complete 
- Briefcase Versioning, Checkin, and Checkout collaboration 
- Support Outlook 2010 64-bit & 32-bit
- More colors for Tags & Folders 
- Calendar & Tasks now have a trash folder
