How to Activate Your Desktop Password Protected Screen Saver

  1. Right click in any free space on your desktop. Select Properties.
  2. Select the Screen Saver tab. Select the Screen saver you want the from the drop down menu, then click Apply.

  4. Check the Password protected box, and set the Wait time.

    1. The Password used is your Microsoft Networking Password, or the password used when you first log into your PC.
    2. The Wait time is set to invoke the screen saver when your keyboard has been inactive for 5 minutes (as displayed in this example). When sitting at your workstation, you can hit any key to release the screen saver without entering your password within 5 seconds.
  6. Finally, to unlock the screen saver once activated, enter your Microsoft Networking password.
