Resource Center

The Resource Center on the ground floor of the Library West offers a suite of support services, primarily for students.

  • OIT Walk-in Support helps students, faculty, and staff with computer account activation, password management, setting up wireless network connections, spam filtering, and similar computer-related support services.
  • Success Programs 1-to-1 Tutoring is held in the Resource Center in the evening. Students can schedule a tutoring session by going to the Online Appointment Book at the Success Programs Web site.
  • Undergraduate Academic Advising offers an academic advisement service for students who are defining or re-defining their objectives and want to explore multiple study program options. Students seeking an advisor can check the daily schedule posted at the Resource Center.
  • Public print bins are located on a wall next to the Resource Center. The bins hold printouts of the files that students, faculty, and staff send to the central printers at Printing and Copying Services.

Departmental Support

OIT provides local support for Georgia Tech offices and departments through the OIT Distributed Support Program. OIT also supports departmental Computer Support Representatives (CSRs).

Consulting

OIT Computer Consulting assists Georgia Tech offices and departments with purchase quotes for Apple and Dell products. Georgia Tech organizations can obtain hardware repair services for campus-owned systems through annual service contracts with the Signature Technology Group.
