Download Site-Licensed Anti-Virus Software
McAfee Virus Scan (for Windows) and Virex (for Macs) have been site-licensed by OIT and are available at no cost to Georgia Tech faculty, staff, and students for both Institute-owned systems and home systems. Further information about the products is available on McAfee's web site. We highly recommend you install anti-virus software (and keep it up-to-date).

There have been a number of false reports circulated about computer viruses, trojan horses, etc. This government advisory discusses some of them, and how to recognize and deal with future hoaxes.
