Executive Summary - Current State and Vision
OIT Information Security (OIT-IS) Awareness, Education and Outreach program compliments the policy, compliance, and technology initiatives designed to protect the Institute. The Program benefits the Institute by developing and delivering education, awareness, training, and outreach activities around important security topics and is flexible in content, message, and design to accommodate multiple targeted audiences: Institute administration officials, deans, chairs, department heads, business managers, system administrators, faculty, and students.
One short-term goal is to enhance the Education and Awareness Program offerings to include a component focused on the technical support personnel within the units. The desired outcome is to have a well training technical staff that understands and consistently implements appropriate security controls in their respective units.
