OIT Professional Leaders Program

The OIT Professional Leaders program is designed to identify emerging leaders in information technology at Georgia Tech and prepare them for executive level leadership roles. The program begins each year on January 1. The nomination package must be submitted by September 15 of the preceding calendar year. For more information, please read the OIT Professional Leaders Progam brochure (PDF).

Performance Evaluation Information

All classified employees are to be evaluated at least once a year. The objectives for employee performance appraisals are as follows:

  • Provide employees with clear and realistic expectations.
  • Support employee development through discussion of assigned opportunities and training that will help employees function more effectively in their roles and grow to their maximum individual potential.
  • Emphasize OITs commitment to continuous improvement and learning.

Purchasing Processes

Learn how to use the established Purchasing Processes. The Business and Finance Office website contains information, policy, and procedures relevant to conducting financial business at Georgia Tech. TechWorks provides access to the Institute's administrative systems, services, forms, and procedures.

Training Related Links

The Professional Development area of this Web site describes training opportunities for all OIT employees. In addition to on-campus training resources, you can also research off-campus training on your own and propose it to your manager. Training requests will be approved based on applicability, budget, and schedule.

Communications

The Communications Plan defines OIT goals for communications. You can use the Communications Processes to communicate OIT news. We also have Communication Protocols for conducting meetings and creating voicemail and email messages.
