Overview
Technology continues to be an integral element in the success of our students, faculty and staff each day at Georgia Tech. Software has many mission-critical applications on campus, and as a result, OIT offers Software License Administration as a key service.
As part of this service, OIT:
- Offers 100+ software packages on the Georgia Tech software download site: http://software.oit.gatech.edu.
- Manages the licenses and contract administration associated with each package.
- Captures software download statistics to help in assessing needs and adjusting license requirements over time.
- Works with campus customers to understand enterprise, departmental and personal activities and interest in order to anticipate and address needs for software.
- Coordinates vendor sponsored Lunch and Learn sessions as well as full scale application specific training.
