Electronic Data Purchasing (EDP)

 

The EDP process is intended to help campus users make educated acquisition decisions and avoid potential implementation and support problems. The goal is to mitigate potential risks that include:

  • Acquiring applications or equipment for which there is no support on campus.
  • Acquiring systems that have inherent systems security deficiencies.
  • Acquiring systems that are incompatible with the campus information architecture.

The online guidelines provided below are interactive Excel spreadsheets. You can click on the headers to get additional information to clarify items included in each category.

To submit an EPD request, please download and complete the EDP form. You may use this example of a completed EDP form to serve as a guide. Email the completed form to edp@oit.gatech.edu. Also, please direct any questions to edp@oit.gatech.edu.
