Important InformationLast Updated: September 17, 2007 The Georgia Tech IT Community has begun assessing and preparing for the eventual migration on campus to Microsoft�s current release versions of their operating system, Vista, and their Office Suite, Microsoft Office 2007. Part of this process is to recognize that many of our students are already using these versions on their personal machines. One of our top priorities is to minimize the inconveniences that inevitably arise, when working in an environment where different versions of the same product are in use. As students you should be aware of the factors that will affect the deployment of these products across campus both in your academic departments, and in those areas supported by OIT; such as, classrooms and the Library Commons areas. Windows XP continues to be the standard operating system at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
